Project name: "MAKS" Bridge to the activation of competences and skills

The People's University of Ptuj with its partners was successful in the tender of the Ministry of Education and obtained financial resources for the implementation of the "Basic Competences 2023-2029" project, with which it will provide many free programs.

Project partners:
– People's University of Ptuj (applicant and consortium holder)
– People's University of Ormož
– Back to the horse institute
– Technical school center Maribor 

Target group: They are the target group adults. According to the tender, the following have priority for inclusion:
- less educated (ISCED 3 or less - vocational high school or less),
- active (employees or jobseekers) who are 55 years of age or older,
– foreigners or persons of foreign origin,
- imprisoned persons in institutions serving prison sentences.

Purpose of the project:  increase the involvement of adults in lifelong learning and improve the competences they need due to the needs of the labor market, greater employability and mobility, and personal development to act and respond to technological, demographic and climate changes in modern society.

Project goal:  acquisition and improvement of basic competences and general education of adults.

Programs that we will implement at the consortium level:

• Lifetime Performance Training Programs (Let's live life with learning, Rural challenges),
• A publicly valid program Initial integration of immigrants,
• A publicly valid program Computer literacy for adults,
• Non-formal education programs Acquiring digital competences (use of computer and digital technology for the needs of professional work and everyday life (e.g. Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail, e-administration, e-health, use of smartphones and other digital devices, social networks, ...),
• Non-formal education program Communication in foreign languages on the levels (English, German, Italian, ...),
• Non-formal education program Communication in the Slovenian language,
• Non-formal education program Acquiring and increasing the level of literacy (programs for personal development such as effective communication, employee management, workplace health, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, public speaking, financial literacy, active citizenship, etc.).

 Planned indicators:  

• 216 implementations of programs, of which 33 are publicly valid, 
• included 2,592 participants, of which 396 participants were included in the publicly valid program. 

Programs are for participants FREE.

Duration of the project: 13/10/2023 – 30/6/2029

As a consortium partner, our Institute implements the program BACK TO THE HORSE.
More information about the BACK ON HORSE program: The BACK ON THE HORSE program is about encouraging motivation for changes, strengthening the ability, skills and competences to implement these changes, discovering the personal and professional potential of the participants and jointly creating feasible and practical solutions with horses and with horses, which will bring a sense of satisfaction to the individual's life and strengthen the sense of self-worth, which will also affect the general improvement of psychophysical well-being.

Vse skupine za leto 2025 smo že zaključili.  Urnik za leto 2026 bo objavljen na tem spletnem mestu takoj, ko dogovorimo termine z novimi skupinami.
